Duke of Edinburgh's Award
Our Duke of Edinburgh Award Programme offers young people a structured, empowering experience that supports their personal growth, leadership, and community impact.
Blending adventure with purpose, the programme provides participants with opportunities to build confidence, explore the outdoors, and lead meaningful change through hands-on activities.
Key features include:
Volunteering
Participants lead social action projects that reflect their values, such as producing community-focused magazines and raising awareness of local issues
Physical Activity
A comprehensive sports and fitness programme designed to build stamina, teamwork, and discipline
Skills Development
Workshops and experiences in areas such as environmental conservation, delivered in partnership with eco-centres and green industry employers
Expedition
An end-of-year orienteering excursion that puts leadership, navigation, and teamwork skills to the test in a real-world setting
The programme is tailored to be inclusive, engaging, and culturally responsive — supporting young people to step outside their comfort zones, take ownership of their development, and become active, confident contributors to their communities.
