At Nurturing Foundations, we exist to remove the structural barriers that hold back young people and communities from achieving their full potential.
Too many individuals across Greater Manchester face entrenched inequalities that limit their opportunities in education, employment, and personal development. From high rates of youth unemployment and NEET status, to racial disparities in school outcomes, health access, and community investment — the systems that should support progress often reinforce exclusion.
Young people and communities from low-income and racially marginalised backgrounds are less likely to lack access to professional networks, mental health support, culturally relevant programmes, and early-career opportunities. These inequalities are not the result of individual failure — they are the outcome of structural issues that require bold, community-led solutions.
