About Us
Our location, ways to give and what we do
Nurturing Foundations is a registered charity and not-for-profit organisationd based in Harpurhey, North Manchester, a challenging area which is ranked as the 2nd worst ward in England for the effect of long-term deprivation on children and families. Many have suffered adverse childhood experiences and most have very limited aspirations.
We have a vision for the future where individuals especially young people in Greater Manchester have the aspirations, resilience, and skills to flourish and the confidence to play an active role in civic life.

What We Do
Social Saturdays
Our weekly Saturday gatherings. Each session deals with a specific topic or talking point within the theme for the month. View more information and register your child here.
Workshops
We run short, intensive workshops during the school holidays. These must be registered for in advance. Dates will be shared on our social media pages, otherwise get in touch and we will let you know events coming up and how you can get involved. Presently, we cater to over 30 nationalities in our ever-growing training sessions.
Mentoring
Where appropriate, we offer one-on-one mentoring services.
Mental Health Support
We have the skills to facilitate positive wellbeing with the ability to spot signs of mental health challenges in young people and guide them to a place of support. Our trainers are trained by MHFA England.
Serving the wider Community
Alongside working with young people, we also use our training and skills to invest in all age workshops and sessions for the elderly.
